Dreamhaven reveals new titles as Blizzard veterans bet on bold studio model
Summary
Dreamhaven, founded in 2020 by Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime, unveiled its upcoming game slate at a Geoff Keighley-hosted showcase
The studio operates two internal teams - Moonshot Games and Secret Door - plus a publishing arm for external developers
Three titles are in the pipeline for 2025, led by first-person space shooter Wildgate, selected from 50 original concepts
"Taking the chances that most big publishers won't"

Wildgate - a space shooter born from 50 ideas and 5 years of work
Wildgate is a PVP multiplayer FPS set in space, developed by Moonshot Games
Players form small crews, pick characters with unique tools and abilities, and battle ship-to-ship to claim an artifact
50 brainstormed concepts were narrowed to 30, then 5 demos - Wildgate survived and was greenlit for full development
Development has spanned five years to date
"The biggest advantage of the game is that it has a variety of rich gameplay elements such as procedurally generated random maps and three-dimensional spaceship combat"
Beyond FPS mechanics, the game is designed to meet the needs of multiple player groups with varied gameplay styles
A public playtest is scheduled for April 10 to 14
Full launch is planned for later in 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam
