Aquaplus

Japanese video game developer and publisher specializing in visual novels and RPGs, best known for the Utawarerumono and ToHeart series. Was a subsidiary of CREST Inc. (formerly Pole To Win Holdings) from December 2022. In August 2025 YUKE'S Co., Ltd. announced the acquisition of Aquaplus from PTW for 783.52 million yen (~$5.3M); the deal subsequently closed and Aquaplus now operates as a subsidiary of YUKE'S. YUKE'S handled the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered, which launched worldwide in late May 2026; YUKE'S has said it plans to strengthen Aquaplus's overseas expansion after the newest Utawarerumono title performed below targets.
