Top 50 game ip licensing companies

Updated 01 Sept 2026

Built on production credits published by MobyGames, covering games released from 2015 onwards. Titles counts the games a studio actually shipped work on — one game counts once, no matter how many platforms, editions or re-releases it had. Partners counts the distinct publishers and developers they shipped those titles alongside, grouped by parent company — all of a publisher's regional labels count as one partner. So the ranking rewards a real track record, not a long list of duplicate entries.

Position of the ten strongest groups in each release year — higher line means a stronger year.

Uneven or broken lines mean our data source holds sparse credits for that vendor in that year — not a drop in activity. As MobyGames credits are completed, the chart updates with them.
